This weeks post is concentrating on the art of the penalty kick, fitting as the dreaded spot kick played its part in Girton’s game against Cherry Hinton, with both sides successfully dispatching from twelve yards and then later that evening we saw Frank Lampard’s tame effort for Chelski followed on Sunday by Jermain Defoe’s woeful strike against Tim ‘USA’ Howard in an enthralling contest at Goodison Park. continue reading »
Sitting here reading the latest on the Girton website I was dissapointed to hear about the departure of Rob Stevens, 2008 captain and one of the linch pins of the reserve side.
