This weeks post is concentrating on the art of the penalty kick, fitting as the dreaded spot kick played its part in Girton’s game against Cherry Hinton, with both sides successfully dispatching from twelve yards and then later that evening we saw Frank Lampard’s tame effort for Chelski followed on Sunday by Jermain Defoe’s woeful strike against Tim ‘USA’ Howard in an enthralling contest at Goodison Park. continue reading »

After watching the Merseyside Derby on Sunday and seeing Pepe Reina’s fantastic double save from first Tim Cahill and then one of the members of the Jackson Five it got me thinking about some of the best saves of all time.
